Supermicro System BIOS Update Package Operation Instructions

Please read this document before performing the system BIOS update.  
Please verify that your system meets the requirements.

This update package includes the following system software updates & utilities:

                                    Warning
*******************************************************************************
1. Do not interrupt, reboot or remove power from your system during the update.
   Doing so may cause the system failure.

2. If the software update fails, you may contact our RMA Department to have the
   BIOS/BMC firmware chip reprogrammed. This will require shipping the board to
   Supermicro for repair.  Please submit your RMA request at:
   http://www.supermicro.com/support/rma/.

                 Steps to Update BIOS through SAA Flash Script
*******************************************************************************
1. Save the BIOS update package to your workstation computer.

2. Extract the files from the BIOS flash package to a USB stick. 
   
   Note: The USB stick doesn't have to be bootable, but has to be formatted with
         the FAT32 file system.

3. Plug the USB stick into a USB port, boot to the Built-In UEFI Shell, and
   switch to BIOS update package.

   Shell> fs0:
   fs0:\> cd X13BIOS

   Note: The BMC account used for the BIOS update must have admin privileges.

4. Run the command in the command_example.txt to update BIOS.

   Example:
   flash.nsh BIOS_X13SWA-TF-1C4D_20250526_2.3_STDsp.bin ADMIN ADMIN

5. Do not interrupt the process until the BIOS is updated successfully.
