Important Message to Customer for Critcom 2019-42: MR Drivers for Windows Activation of Retpoline Security

As part of MR 7.12 and Phase 13, the MR and IT drivers for Windows 10 and Windows Server have activated the Microsoft Retpoline security fix.
Users deploying these drivers need to have reviewed and understood the Customer Advisory 2019-42.
The customer needs to take steps to patch their Windows 10 and/or Windows Server 2016 installs BEFORE loading the drivers.
There is no minimum patch level required for Windows Server 2019 before using our drivers.
Below are additional details to be considered:
IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE: For Windows Server 2016 (RS1 thru RS4), customer MUST be at or beyond the patch level indicated in customer advisory before installing a Broadcom Retpoline enabled driver to avoid a system crash
Drivers for MR 7.12 and above Windows drivers must not be installed until the OS has been patched to at least that level.
If the required patch level is not applied, there is a very good chance it will cause an unrecoverable system crash.
If that occurs, it will require an involved recovery procedure to get the machine to boot again, causing significant down time.
Please make sure the entire customer advisory is read and understood before continuing.
